Free, but registration required
About the book:
For many decades, Indigenous peoples have been advocating to have a say on matters that impact upon their lives. On 14 October 2023, the Australian public voted in a Referendum on whether to enshrine a First Nations Voice to Parliament in the Constitution.
This is the first book to explore the Referendum and its aftermath, and the implications of both for Australia’s ongoing national journey of reconciliation.
Professor Gunstone’s book, written for a general audience, explores several key areas, including: reconciliation, racism, Indigenous rights, ‘equality’, truth-telling, community engagements, international agreements, such as UNDRIP, allyship, and recommitting to Voice, Treaty, and Truth.
