Support the weekly Food Share at Barrbunin Beek Aboriginal Gathering Place, a community-led hub in West Heidelberg. Volunteers help pack and sort food for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members. A practical way to contribute to social justice and support Aboriginal self-determination through respectful, hands-on community care alongside neighbouring reconciliation groups and volunteers.
Attend a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony led by Uncle Perry Wandin at Hurstbridge Learning Co-operative School, offering respectful connection with First Nations culture, Country, and community.
Kick off Summer Sounds with a night led by powerful First Peoples music. Enjoy the rootsy folk of Dan Cully, followed by Palawa Bunurong artist Ganga Giri, whose didge-driven beats and deep cultural storytelling anchor the evening.
